Gemeaters are huge, ape-like Monsters with a toad-like face and bulging eyes. They are powerful enemies, able to be encountered at Level 1, and with bad enough luck, directly behind the first door. They are usually found in the Swamps of Serranian and Palace, and rarely in the Schism, Temple and Blackforest. One of their most problematic attack moves is a wild, long combo of strikes that lasts for several seconds. They are hostile towards the Fade and the Grine. Gemeaters are weak to Arcane and Grine attacks.
Adventurers may be tasked to kill Gemeaters by the Brazen Head.

Attacks[ | ]

Gemeaters have a large variety of dangerous attacks.

  1. An AoE attack that consists of jumping and hitting the ground.
  2. Quick attack with the left claws.
  3. Spinning towards the target while dealing AoE damage(combo).
  4. Spitting at the target. (Done by some specific variations.)
  5. A thrust of both fists in the forward direction followed up by an AoE attack consisting of a ground smash.

  • The Gemeaters were originally meant to act up to their namesake. They would pounce onto Adventurers and eat their Gems.
  • Gemeaters are the only potential permanent(disregarding other adventurers) monster ally of the adventurer as they can be spawned friendly with basic Gemeater in a Jar.
